Why is the originator set to 'SMS'? [Q1024]
Some networks require an alphanumeric originator. If a numeric originator is used and the network does not support it, it will be changed to the value "SMS" or to similar general originator. If an alphanumeric sender is used by default, it will be forwarded without change to the destination network but a mobile operator can still automatically replace the originator with a general originator, if it is needed in that specific country.
